Nowadays, most items can be bought online. Gone are the days when errands had to be run by getting in and out of the car. Save your gas and your sanity by purchasing items online. (And just think of the headaches that can be avoided during the holiday rush!)
Save money with just a click of the mouse. Forget standing in line at the ATM, too, since all sites accept credit cards or PayPal accounts.
Next time you’re in the market for the following items, turn to the Internet first to save both time and money. After all, they are one in the same, right?
Clothes
Many online clothing retailers offer free shipping both ways, so you can try on clothes in the comfort of your home—all while avoiding the annoying salespeople, too.
Take advantage of online-only coupons. A great site to check out is RetailMeNot.com. On the home page, there are seven top deals that rotate. Scroll down and see other deals for that specific day.
To go directly to the clothing part of the site, visit RetailMeNot.com/coupons/clothing. The top current coupons are listed, and there are directions of how to use the coupon on the right-hand side of the screen. Click “How to use a coupon” and start shopping.
Cars
We’re not saying that you should purchase such a big-ticket item online. However, there are key sites that can help you figure out what type of vehicle is right for you. Each company has its own website, but don’t forget about other bargain websites and review sites. Kelley Blue Book and Carfax.com offer rates for different makes and models. Narrow down your choices and then map out where you’ll head. Talk about saving gas.
Photos
Don’t waste time developing film or standing in front of one of those digital machines at local big-box stores. Upload photos from your camera or smartphone to your computer. From there, decide which ones you want to order and upload them to photo sites. Have them delivered right to your door.
The most popular photo sites are Shutterfly and Snapfish. Once an account is opened, weekly (and sometimes bi-weekly) deals are emailed directly to you. Offers include 50% off photo calendars, 200 prints for 1 cent each, etc. Take advantage of the deep discounts for the holidays, too. Photo sites already are offering discounts on holiday cards.
Presents
Throughout the year, overstock and home goods sites offer different sales periods and coupons. Groupon and LivingSocial are great places to start. These sites deliver deals to your email daily. The catch is that you have a limited amount of time to purchase in order to take advantage of the savings. Save 50% to 90% on local deals. Enter your ZIP code and your email address to get started.
Discounted items range from airline tickets and hotels to restaurants and spa visits. The sky is the limit!
Gift Cards
Every store and restaurant offers gift cards, and there’s no need to visit each place individually, and there's no need to pay full price! Buy Discounted Gift Cards For Up To 30% Off at Cardpool.com!
Food
From pizza chains and sandwich joints to high-end restaurants, most places deliver. Before ordering, make sure you know their minimum delivery charges and ranges. The main savings come into play when you cash in coupons or discounts by ordering online. This will offset the tip at the very least.
At Restaurant.com, the catchphrase is “Let someone else do the dishes.” Sometimes, we all need a little break. Another site to check out for items (and not just eateries) is HalfOffDeals.com.
Makeup
For women, there is high brand loyalty. We know what we like and how we like it. By purchasing makeup in bulk online, you can save money on overall costs and shipping. Check out the prices at AllCosmeticsWholesale.com. Narrow down by the company and the type of makeup by using the top choices. Or scroll down for deals of the day on various products. Companies include Clinique, Maybelline, and Chanel.
If you’re not as picky, visit MakeupColors.com. The name brands aren’t there, but you can pick up 24 bottles of nail polish for $13.20, which is 55 cents per bottle. Can’t beat that!
