Stop Junk Mail and Junk Email
54 emails today, 49 are junk.
Another day, another mailbox full of catalogs and junk…is there any real mail out there?
Who wants to eliminate their junk e-mail?
Who wants to get rid of those piles of junk mail on the counter?
Who want to save time?
Stop Junk Mail and Junk Email in 3 Easy Steps
Let's get started on our mission to stop junk mail and junk email today…it's a 3 step process.
- Sign up for a free email account like hotmail or gmail, and begin using the account exclusively for stores or other organizations that ask for your email address. If you look closely to your junk email, you'll discover an abundance of promotional emails from online retailers that you've purchased items from. Whenever you order something online, you have to give your email address, so next time give them this new “junk” email address. You'll only need to check it occasionally for purchase confirmations. Reserve your regular email address for friends, family and the important stuff.
- If you use AOL, Yahoo, Gmail or Outlook there's a quick and easy way to put a stop to junk email. Sign up for Unsubscriber (it's free and takes less than 1 minute), then simply move unwanted messages to your unsubscribe folder and Unsubscriber takes care of the rest. Wasn't that satisfying?
If you don't use one of those email providers, you can still eliminate junk email by clicking unsubscribe. In less than 10 seconds you can unsubscribe from just about any promotional email. You'll usually find the link toward the bottom of the page. This month, take the time to unsubscribe from any emails that you don't intend to read…it might be the weekly newsletter from your community or a tip of the day email that you just don't have time to read. One request, if you subscribe to the daily Budget Diet email, please don't click unsubscribe!
- Go to DMAchoice.org and stop catalogs, credit card offers and other junk mail from overflowing your mailbox everyday. If you enjoy catalogs, try CatalogSpree.com…browse by category (home, clothing, etc.) and save your favorite items! It's the green thing to do!
Ahhh…don't you feel less overwhelmed already!
