Gooey Butter Cake Recipe & Variations
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 stick butter melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix together cake mix, melted butter, 1 egg and water until combined.

Press into a 9 x 13 greased pan.

Mix together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, 2 eggs and vanilla until smooth.

Pour over cake mixture.

Bake 35 - 40 minutes at 350 or until lightly browned.
