Although any “get rich quick” tactic should be examined carefully, that doesn't mean there aren't great ways to make money quickly. All it takes is a little effort and some planning, and you could find yourself making quite a bit of extra money. Here are six ideas for earning extra money quickly.
Ways to Earn Extra Money
1. Write an e-Book
Do you have areas of expertise? Are you really good at gardening, writing, teaching, or traveling? Put together a small e-book and sell it for the Kindle and the Nook. Electronic books typically go for about $9.99, but since you're not printing anything, you save on printing costs. Promote your own book well and you could be getting some pretty decent checks every month! If you find that writing an e-book is not enough, why not make money from blogging as well?
2. Sell on eBay
There are people who make their entire living selling other people's stuff on eBay. You can sell almost anything online if you know where to go.
3. Create Videos
This one requires a bit more luck and some artistic vision, but if you create good content, you could be one of those people who earns money to post videos on YouTube. Try video blogging about web design tips or creating video reviews of movies and TV shows. Get one of your videos to go viral, and you could exponentially increase your viewership overnight!
4. Freelancing
What do you do already? What are you good at? Can you offer that service to people individually and negotiate your own price for it? Then freelancing may be the way for you to go. If you're a writing wizard, find a local college and offer to help proofread and edit their term papers. If you're a great photographer, offer to do semi-professional photos for less than the price of an official photo shoot. How quickly you build up your reputation depends on how well you promote!
5. Be a Virtual Assistant
Plenty of businesses and people are hiring people over the Internet to coordinate their schedules, update their social media pages, and organize their files. If you are good at this kind of thing, you can apply and make a decent amount of money for a relatively small amount of work. This is a growing field, and if you have multiple clients, you'll start seeing the financial impact quickly!
6. Cut Back on Spending
This may sound like a cheat of an answer, but many of us would be surprised how much money we spend on things we don't need. Try cutting soda out of your grocery budget for a money or forego going to McDonald's. Take the money you would have spent on that and set it aside. You may be surprised by how much you save this way – and then you can put that money toward promoting yourself and your brand!
