What you need:
- Beeswax
- Coconut oil
- Small containers (old lip balm container is considered)
- Old lipstick
- Vitamin E & peppermint oil
First, you need to mix the beeswax and coconut oil. The beeswax come in block form, you might as well grate it so it would be easy to measure.
Take 4 teaspoons of coconut oil and and 4 teaspoons of beeswax. You may change the measurements as long as you keep the ingredients in 1:1 ratio. Place the two ingredients in one container.
Put it in a microwave for about one minute or until the ingredients are mixed well but not boiling.
After that, mix additional ingredients but these are optional. Put a small piece of old lipstick, a teaspoon of Vitamin E (a well-known moisturizer) and a few drops of peppermint oil. You may use other oil with great scent.
Bring it back to the microwave for about 10 seconds or until the additional ingredients are completely dissolved. After that, stir.
Now it is time to put them into the container. You may use your old lip balm container or small transparent ones which you can give as gifts to your girlfriends or use them as party favors.
Let the mixture settle for a few minutes. And you are finished! A homemade lip balm as all-natural alternative to commercialized lip gloss.
